Vans Competition is an art competition that reflects core values of creativity, authenticity and passion. The two themes of the competition are Off the Wall and Local Flavor.  How you design the shoe is completely up to the competitors. All art students began by designing by themselves or with a partner ideas on the themes listed. From all the designs we then began to organize and pick out the best ideas to give the shoes a collage approach with a variety of themes.  Students involved:  Connor McNeil (sculpted and design Lincoln silhouette), Trevor (sculpted and worked with Max Fortner with cow design).  Paige Hemminger (corn design), Atley Buhr (water tower design), Emma Alberts (swan design), Lyndsey Ehmen, Abby Mason, Marshal Connelly, Travis Pickard, Jessica Osterhaus, Natalie Boyer, Ashley Parde (painters).   Sadie Meyer, Peyton Winkle, Blake Kastanek (Glass).

April 23-May 4th, Vans will notify us if we are in the top 50 out of 500 to continue in competition and then the public will vote also at this time.
