Junior High Girls Basketball Top Off Season at Lewiston

Freeman “A” 28 Lewiston “A” 9

The young Lady Falcons ended their season Wednesday, Feb. 21 traveling to Lewiston and came away with a hard fought victory. The Lewiston girls were ready and played Freeman a very tough half. Freeman led 4 to 2 after one quarter and 8 to 4 by halftime. The Lady Falcons realized they were playing a much improved Lewiston team and came to life after the half outscoring the Tigers 17 to 2 in the third to lead 25 to 6 heading into the final six minutes. With both team playing the final quarter with some subs each team added three points to make the final score 28-9. Scoring for Freeman were: Autumn Schoen 10 points, Kaylee Denker 8 points, Madison Gee 5 points, Lauren Scholtz 2 points and Kaylie Boyer added a free throw.  The Sanders twins scored all Lewiston points as Megan hit 5 points and Katelyn added 4 points. The teams played a two quarter “B” game with Freeman winning a close game 10 to 8. Jenner Husband led the scoring with 4 points, Kylie Meldon scored 3 points, Madison Gee 2 points and Mattee Fry added 1 point.
