Junior High Girls VS J.C.C

The Freeman “B” Jr. Hi Girls picked up victory number 2 Tuesday, defeating the J.C.C “B” team 24 to 10. Freeman started strong leading 9 to 2 after one quarter, but J.C.C closed the gap to 12-8 by halftime. Freeman gained a little breathing room out scoring J.C.C 8 to 3 during the 3rd quarter to lead 20 to 11 heading into the final quarter. J.C.C. made it close out scoring the Falcons 8-4 to bring the final score to Freeman 24 – J.C.C. 19. Talisa Buhr led the scoring for Freeman with 8 points, Macy Schiebur hit for 5 pts., Kylie Meldon added 4 points, Mattee Fry, Madison Gee & Grace VanEngen scored 2 each and Jenna Husband tossed 1 point.

The Freeman “A” team suffered their second loss of the season as the J.C.C “A” team won a close battle 39 to 35. The young Lady Falcons got off to a good start leading 10 to 2 after one quarter but J.C.C. owned the 2nd quarter out scoring Freeman 16 to 4 and held an 18-14 halftime lead. The 3rd quarter was close as Freeman won the quarter 11 to 10 but still trailed 25-28 heading into the final six minutes. With the lead going back and forth most of the quarter, the Lady Hornets couldn’t overcome the 3-point deficit. J.C.C. iced the win hitting 7 of 10 free throws, outscoring Freeman 13-10 to make the final score 39-35. Scoring for Freeman were: Kaylee Bures 11 points; Kylie Boyer and Kaylee Denker 8 points each; Lexi Winkle 6 points and Paige Mahler 2 points. J.C.C. had the star of the game as Dakotah L. led all scoring with 23 points.
