Freeman FBLA Swears in New Officer Team

The 2017-18 Freeman FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) chapter swears in a new officer team!  This year's chapter will be led by President Felisha Moore and Vice President Sadie Meyer.  Both Sadie and Felisha are very involved student athletes that are major contributors to the Freeman Softball team and are they are both excited to bring their ideas to make this year's FBLA program unlike any other.  Jacob Gramman will be our Treasurer this year, and his success in last year’s business competitions along with his proficiency in the classroom will make him a great addition to the officer team.  Tessa Hestermann will be our secretary and she will be working closely with Haley Pella our reporter bringing news to the masses.  Both Tessa and Haley have earned their Future Pins, and they will be leading the chapter in our goal to have 5 new members achieve Future Pin status.  Eli Pelc and Jordan Jurgens will keep our meeting orderly and well informed, Eli will be our Parliamentarian and Jordan will serve as our Historian for the 2017-18 FBLA Chapter.

Every year the goal is to make the stage at the State Leadership Conference, and this year we are more committed than ever to make this happen for our largest number of Freeman competitors.  We have changed the local chapter requirements to making the trip to SLC a little more strenuous.  This year, members will need to pass a competition exam before qualifying for State, we are confident that placing higher standards on ourselves will generate better results at the state competition.  We have a great group of students involved in FBLA, and the chapter will be growing because of the quality of our members.  Montana Bender has been laying the groundwork for creating a Middle-level chapter at Freeman, and our 7th and 8th-grade students will be the beneficiaries of her hard work.  Montana has been very involved with FBLA for the last three years, and her ideas and drive will leave a lasting mark on the program.
