Freeman Girls Claim Team Title At Freeman Track Invitational


The Lady Falcons continued their string of good performances by claiming the team title at their home Track Invitational.  Twelve teams vied for the championship, but the Lady Falcons scored 124 points and emerged as the winner.  Diller-Odell finished the meet in second place with 84.5 points and Johnson County Central finished in third with 73 points.   Kayla Haynes had an outstanding meet and broke the meet record for the 100 hurdles that was set in 2009 by Courtney VanGronigen at 16.0.  Kayla ran a 15.8 on her way to a 1st place finish.   Once again, Macy Holland improved her own school record in the discus with a throw of 97’ 3”.  Individual medalist for Freeman were as follows:

High Jump:  2nd place, Kayla Haynes, 5’

Long Jump:  4th place, Tessa Hestermann, 13’ 11”; 5th place, Felisha Moore, 13’ 10.5”

Triple Jump:  2nd place, Tessa Hestermann, 31’ 3.25”

100 Meter Hurdles:  1st place, Kayla Haynes, 15.8

300 Meter Hurdles:  3rd place, Kayla Haynes, 49.9

100 Meter Dash:  2nd place, Tori Bredvick, 13.3

200 Meter Dash:  2nd place, Tori Bredvick, 28.2

400 Meter Dash:  3rd place, Marissa Waters, 64.6; RaeAnn  Hartwig, 65.4

800 Meter Run:  3rd place, RaeAnn Hartwig, 2:38.9; 4th place, Lauren Parde, 2:44.10

1600 Meter Run:  1st place, Brylie Hartwig, 5:37.0; 3rd place, Ashley Oltman, 6:10.6

3200 Meter Run:  2nd place, Ashley Oltman, 12:58.2; 5th place, Ashley Parde, 13:44.9

400 Meter Relay:  2nd place, Marissa Waters, Addison Dorn, RaeAnn Hartwig, and Tori Bredvick, 53.7

1600 Meter Relay:  3rd place, Addison Dorn, Josalynn Podtburg, Caleigh Behrens, and Marissa Waters, 4:32.9

3200 Meter Relay:  1st place, RaeAnn Hartwig, Lauren Parde, Ashley Oltman, Brylie Hartwig, 10:24.7
