Freeman Girls Open 2017 Track Season

The Freeman Girls Track team opened up their season Tuesday by competing in the Wilber-Claytonia Invite.  Wilber-Claytonia won their home invite by scoring 96 points, Heartland was second with 91.5 points and Tri-County was third with 66 points.  The Lady Falcons finished in 6th place with 54 points, but the race for 4th, 5th and 6th place was very tight.  Sterling finished fourth with 55 points and Centennial with fifth with 54.5 points.  Coach Renken stated, “The Lady Falcons are competitors and they never let down, always giving their best effort.  I was very pleased with the way the team competed and we are at a great starting point to build from.”  Individual results for Freeman were as follows: 


100 Meter Hurdles:  3rd place, Kayla Haynes, 17.33

100 Meter Dash:  3rd place, Tori Bredvick, 13.88

1600 Meter Run:  2nd place, Brylie Hartwig, 5:47.87; 3rd place, Ashley Oltman, 5:49.54

3200 Meter Run:  2nd place, Ashley Oltman, 12:21.65; 4th place, Ashley Parde, 13:39.20

400 Meter Relay:  3rd place, Marissa Waters, Tessa Hestermann, RaeAnn Hartwig, and Tori Bredvick, 55.16

3200 Meter Relay:  2nd place, Lauren Parde, RaeAnn Hartwig, Brylie Hartwig, and Marissa Waters, 10:39.49

Long Jump:  6th place, Tessa Hestermann, 14’ 7.25”

Triple Jump:  6th place, Tessa Hestermann, 31’ 3.25”
