Nate Archer - Badminton Champ

7th Grade PE partook in a Badminton Unit.  They played doubles, but with an odd number in the class, Nate Archer was left alone.  As a single player, he was still able to win his way through the doubles bracket and win the class championship.  After winning the title, Nate was challenged by Mr. Floth (Sterling JH 1989 Badminton Champ) to a title match.  With the help of Mr. Delhay we were able to broadcast the match on Striv, which had 175 viewers throughout the match.  Some great play by play was called by Tyler Adams and Kaleb Unvert.  They kept the viewers entertained with their in game analyst and comments.  Nate won the battle of champions 2 – 1.

8th Grade PE played Pickle-Ball, which is a sport that combines philosophies of Tennis and Ping-Pong.  This group really got into the tournament and there were some great matches.  The championship was won by the team of Colby Sugden and Emma Hemminger, but it took 2 games to seal the victory.

9th Grade PE took to the lanes and completed their Bowling Unit.  We had 8 teams of 4 bowlers in our 9th grade bowling league.  The teams came up with their team names and we had some very creative ones.  We’ll Gut(ter) You, was by far the most intimidating, but the team failed to live up to their names bowing out early in the tournament.
