Lady Falcons Compete at Cougar Invite

The Lady Falcons traveled to Conestoga High School on Tuesday to compete in the Cougar Invite.  Due to the impending severe weather, the meet was run as a finals meet.  When running a finals only meet, the order of events changed which helped some athletes run their events fresher (like the 1600), but caused others to have little break time between their events.  It was a nice change of pace for the Freeman athletes.  The Freeman girls' team finished fifth overall in the ten team meet.  Winning the meet was Lincoln Lutheran with 146 points.  Wilber Claytonia was second with 104 points and Plattview was third with 94 points.  Overall, the Lady Falcons competed well and set some new personal records.  We definitely missed standout sprinter Tori Bredvick who will be out the rest of the season and we had three other athletes who were limited due to injuries.  We are hoping to get everyone healthy and ready to compete in the ECNC Conference meet on Saturday in Auburn.
