Champions Crowned in PE Classes

This year begins a new alignment within the PE Department.  With the addition of Mrs. Kroeker, we now co-teach 7th-9th Grade PE.  This allows us to split the classes into smaller groups and allows us better supervision of the students.

This week in 7th Grade PE we finished our Coed-Volleyball Tournament, where the Block Party was able to claim the title of “Class Champs”.  Team members were Paige Hemminger, Holden Ruse, Ashton Niles, Hunter Buhr, Emma Hemminger, Marcus Osterhaus, Jesse Hindera, and Tristin Gouldie.  Congrats to all team members.

We also crowned two champions in Freshman Lacrosse.  Both teams claimed the title in Game 6 of the Best of 7 Series.  By offering two sections of PE the same hour, it gives us the ability to split classes by gender as well.  We feel this allows for more willing participation among all students.  Hoisting the Championship Trophies were The Penguins and The Wakamoles.  Members of the The Penguins were Captain Kaleb Unvert, Austin Adams, Gabe Eisenbarth, Brady Ideus, Jordan Jurgens, Cody Larkins, Garrett Lenners, Brandon Millard, and Max Mueller.  Members of The Wakamoles include Captain Josalynn Podtburg, Emma Alberts, Kayla Haynes, Booklyn Lidolph, Ashley Oltman, Ashley Parde, Taylor VanDerSys, and Mary Zeman.

Below you will find links that will take you to stats for the Freshman Lacrosse Unit as well as an updated record board.  No records were broken on the boys’ side and all records were new for the girls’ side this year.
