Freeman Crowns Homecoming King and Queen

“Winning Suits Us Just Fine” was the theme for Freeman Public Schools Homecoming held Friday evening, September 19.  The evening’s events began with a parade down Main Street in Adams at 5:30 p.m.  The Music Boosters served a meal at the Community Building following the parade until 7:00 p.m.

The Freeman Football team hosted the Tri-County Trojans.  After the game, the coronation ceremony was held at mid-field.  The 2014 Homecoming Queen is Katie Meyer, daughter of Kevin Meyer and Shelly Meyer. The 2014 Homecoming King is Scott Adams, son of Jason Adams and Kristine Adams.  King and queen were crowned by reigning 2013 Queen Jessica Benton and 2013 runner-up King, Dylan Mackichan.  Crown Bearers were Kindergarten students Savannah Mahler and Cale Behrens. The Queen’s crown was donated by Leo’s Jewelers of Beatrice. 

The 2014 Royalty Court were: Seniors – Carley Remmers, Taylor Sugden, Isaac Frerichs, and Jacob Buhr.  Juniors – Alexis Holland and Tyler Buhr.  Sophomores – Kaitlyn Meints and Gabe VanEngen. Freshmen – Abby Mason and Lane Cacek. 

High School students celebrated the win at the Homecoming dance at the school following the Coronation.
