Things are back in full swing and it has not taken long for schedules to fill up.  Over the summer I took some time at the ESU to get assistance on developing my own web page.  I hope everyone has a chance to check it out, it can be found under the high school tab on the Freeman home page, following the link called teacher web pages: https://sites.google.com/a/freemanschools.net/guidance/

I have placed a contact form for anyone that would like to visit with me either via phone or in person.  It is for students, teachers and parents.  I have included links for resources covering topics for bullying, scholarship and financial aid help, ACT and SAT, careers, the transcript release form, volunteer log form, college visitation information, links for grief support, study skills and hotline numbers.

I’m excited to be visiting elementary classrooms once a week this year and classroom guidance lessons are in full swing.  In Kindergarten we have learning about the importance of listening and focusing.  In first and second grade we have talked about respect, manners and even made respectables to help us remember.  Third through fifth grades are starting our second step curriculum, a program to help with conflict resolution skills.  In sixth grade we are busy learning about cell phone and social media etiquette.

It’s been a great start and I’m looking forward to what the year has to offer all our students.
