Freeman Girls Open Outdoor Track Season

The Freeman Girls Track Team opened their outdoor season on Tuesday night and braved some brisk temperatures to compete in the twilight meet held in Wilber.   The Wolverines won their own meet and scored 114 points on their way to victory.  Freeman finished in 2nd place with 90 points and Heartland rounded out the top three with 83 points.  Jessica Benton, the lone senior on the Lady Falcon team, had an outstanding day and was a three event gold medal winner.  Individual results for Freeman were as follows:  

Shot Put:  Alaina Huls, 3rd place, 33’ 2”
Long Jump:  Marissa Haynes, 2nd place, 14’ 10.5”
100 Meter Hurdles:  1st place, Jessica Benton, 17.3
300 Meter Hurdles:  1st place, Jessica Benton, 52.2
100 Meter Dash:  1st place, Marissa Haynes, 13. 4; 2nd place, Tori Bredvick, 13.6
200 Meter Dash:  2nd place, Marissa Haynes, 27.5
400 Meter Dash:  5th place, Tori Bredvick, 65.4
800 Meter Run:  5th place, Emily Lenners, 2:47.8
3200 Meter Run:  3rd place, Lauren Parde, 13:36.2
400 Meter Relay:  1st place, Jessica Benton, Marissa Haynes, Tori Bredvick, and Cassidy Mason, 53.7
1600 Meter Relay:  5th place, Tori Bredvick, Cassidy Mason, Lauren Parde, and Tori Buhr, 4:40.4
3200 Meter Relay:  1st place, Cassidy Mason, Alexis Holland, Emily Lenners, Marissa Waters, 11:00.4
