Believers & Achievers is sponsored by U.S. Bank and recognizes outstanding young men and women across the state who demonstrate exemplary qualities of a student, as well as those qualities valued as a member of a team, organization, etc.  The criteria also takes into account community service.
Derek will be honored at one of six NSAA state championship events coming up during the school year.  That event has yet to be determined.  At that event, Derek will receive a plaque to recognize him.  In addition, all 48 honorees and their families will be invited to attend a banquet on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 to celebrate these students.  In addition, 8 of the 48 students will be additionally honored as recipients of $500 scholarships from U.S. Bank.
Congratulations, Derek, for being Freeman High School’s first ever Believer and Achiever.
