Lady Falcons Bring Home Second Place From JCC Invite

Kylie Trobee Breaks School Shot Put Record

The Lady Falcons competed well in what turned out to be a decent day for a track and field meet at Johnson County Central.  Auburn won the girls meet with 133.333 points, followed by Freeman with 112 points and Lincoln Lutheran rounded out the top three by scoring 96 points.  Freeman only had two event winners this week.  Kylie Trobee won the shot put with a throw of 39' 5.5" which broke her own school record of 38' 6" and Morgan Lenners won the 800 meter run in 2:30.9.  We may not have come away with a lot of firsts this meet, but we had a number of girls finish in second and third and that added up to big points for the Lady Falcons. Some of the girls were stretched pretty thin and ran several events today, but that was a big key to our success.  Individual results for Freeman were as follows:

3200 Meter Relay, 2nd place, Cassidy Mason, Alexis Weiden, Taylor Sugden, and Morgan Lenners, 10:37.9.

100 Meter Hurdles:  2nd place, Mackenzie Ruskamp, 17.6

100 Meter Dash:  3rd place, Marissa Haynes, 13.5

200 Meter Dash:  2nd place, Marissa Haynes, 27.7

400 Meter Dash:  2nd place, Taylor Sugden, 64.4

800 Meter Run:  1st place, Morgan Lenners, 2:30.9; 3rd place, Taylor Sugden, 2:42.1

1600 Meter Run:  2nd place, Morgan Lenners, 5:48.6

300 Hurdles:  2nd place, Mackenzie Ruskamp, 51.2; 5th place, Jessica Benton, 54.2

400 Meter Relay:  3rd place, Katie Meyer, Mackenzie Ruskamp, Kylie Trobee, and Cassidy Mason, 56.3

1600 Meter Relay:  2nd place, Cassidy Mason, Mackenzie Ruskamp, Morgan Lenners, and Taylor Sugden, 4:27.9

3200 Meter Relay:  2nd place, Cassidy Mason, Alexis Holland, Taylor Sugden, and Morgan Lenners, 10:37.9

Long Jump:  3rd place, Marissa Haynes, 14' 10"

Shot Put:  1st place, Kylie Trobee, 39' 5.5", 3rd place, Alaina Huls, 35' 8", 5th place, Carley Remmers, 32' 4"

High Jump:  5th place, Carley Remmers, 4' 7"
