Freeman Girls Win Pioneer Conference Indoor Track Meet

The Freeman girls track team is off to a fantastic start to their season.  They traveled to Concordia University in Seward to compete in the Pioneer Conference Indoor Track Meet.  "We had a lot of good things happen today and that goes back to the dedication of the girls.  There are definitely areas we need to improve, but overall it was a great meet for us."  Freeman is led by an outstanding group of Seniors:  Anna Harder, Lindsay Hottovy, Morgan Lenners, Mackenzie Ruskamp, and Kylie Trobee and that leadership showed today.  The Lady Falcons ran away with the meet and scored 122 points on their way to victory.  Falls City Sacred Heart finished in second place with 59 points and was followed in third place by Friend with 57 points.  Individual results for Freeman were as follows:


60 Meter Dash:  2nd place, Marissa Haynes, 8.2

60 Meter Hurdles:  3rd place, Jessica Benton, 10.5

200 Meter Dash:  1st place, Marissa Haynes, 28.3; 4th place, Jessica Benton, 29.2

400 Meter Dash:  1st place, Taylor Sugden, 66.0; 6th place, Mackenzie Ruskamp, 70.2

800 Meter Run:  1st place, Morgan Lenners, 2:35.2; 4th place, Alexis Holland, 2:51.5

1600 Meter Run:  1st place, Morgan Lenners, 5:46.0; 2nd place, Cassidy Mason, 6:16.2

1600 Meter Relay:  1st place, Marissa Haynes, Kylie Trobee, Mackenzie Ruskamp, Taylor Sugden, 4:34.4

3200 Meter Relay:  1st place, Cassidy Mason, Alexis Holland, Taylor Sugden, Morgan Lenners, 10:37.8

High Jump:  3rd place, Carley Remmers, 4' 7"

Long Jump:  3rd place, Marissa Haynes, 15" 2.75"; 6th place, Katie Meyer, 13' 9.5"

Triple Jump:  5th place, Anna Harder, 28" .5"

Shot Put:  1st place, Kylie Trobee, 38' 6"; 3rd place, Alaina Huls, 35' 4"
